Why Lasers?
The fact remains that whilst using Lasers the surgeon can see the surgical field with little-to-no bleeding and consistently provide a precise cut.

Which Lasers do we Use?
We use the state of art Erbium Family Cold Lasers for less painful and better healing experience for your child.
Diode Lasers
- Hot Laser - The laser tip gets heated up to 900 to 1500 degrees centigrade.
- The heat causes the tissue to burn & char and disappear, similar to the electrocautery
- The depth of the cut is more
- Resulting collateral damage to underlying tissue is more
- Takes more time to perform the surgery
- More post-operative pain and
- Slower and relatively difficult healing experience for the infant/ child
- More chances of scarring and fibrous tissue healing
Erbium & CO2 Lasers
- Cold Laser - These Lasers work at 100 degrees centigrade only.
- The laser energy goes into the tissue and heats up the water molecules in the tssue. The water in the tissue located in the path of the beam turns to steam, taking the tissue with it, a process called vaporization
- The process is very precise and removes tissue layers thinner than a human hair at a time.
- It creates less collateral damage to the underlying tissue
- Surgery is faster
- Less post-operative pain
- Faster healing and better experience for the infant/ child
- Less chances of scarring and fibrous tissue healing
